The word is out that most people have abandoned new year's resolutions to avoid the failure rate. As believers, the Lord has a different approach in mind for us.
Positioned and refocused seems to be the dominate launch into a new year with every detail worked out including goals that oftentimes consume us.
Yes, I know we need to have a vision and we need to write it down and make it clear.
But what if we simply practice being still in His presence first.
Let our goal be to quiet our minds, stop striving and surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is in the stillness that our souls are refreshed and our minds quieted and we rest in God's presence. Let us intentionally invite the peace of God to rule in our minds and hearts by submitting all we are to Him and allowing His stillness to refresh our souls. In this fast-paced world, as we embrace stillness, we will find the clarity to move forward in all God has destined for our lives in this new year. Cultivate being still before the Lord and seek His will in every circumstance. He has promised to direct our paths.
